Bladeless Tip Trocars
GENICON’s Bladeless Tip Trocar System provides a versatile, operationally flexible, and unique mode of entry into the abdominal cavity for any laparoscopic procedure. The distinctively engineered visual tip greatly reduces wound defect size as well as insertion force into the abdominal cavity. The optical tip provides direct visualization of the various tissue layers when accompanied by a laparoscope during insertion. Because the bladeless tip separates and dissects without cutting, trauma to the abdominal wall and vessels are minimized.
The GENICON Bladeless Tip Trocar, available in 5mm, 10mm, and 12mm diameters is now available in 7/8mm and 15mm diameters as well. Hasson / Blunt Port System
The GENICON Hasson Port System’s compelling features are designed for and by laparoscopic surgeons who prefer an "open technique" for the initial trocar insertion site.
The 13mm-5mm trocar system consists of a Blunt Tip Obturator and a suture anchoring device to secure the cannula into place. Upon entry into the free space of the abdominal cavity, the Blunt Tip Obturator aids in reducing the potential for injury to internal structures. The soft threaded anchoring device is designed to secure the cannula firmly into place while acting as a "plug" to prevent gas leakage during instrument manipulation. This unique suture anchoring device may be adjusted up and down the shaft of the cannula for precise depth insertion.
Cannulae
The beveled cannula tip helps prevent peritoneal tenting. The patented radiolucent Cannula System firmly anchors into the abdominal wall by means of an atraumatic fascia thread. To ensure smooth insertion, the atraumatic fascia thread features a beveled distal tip which helps prevent patient trauma. Air-tight dual seal valve technology maintains pneumoperitoneum during instrument exchanges of all diameters, as well as facilitating the passage of suture needles.
