Fluid Management
Endoscopy is a sophisticated surgical method. The effect of working in small cavities
creates new and high demands on surgical equipment, hereby also on fluid management.
A new standard
New thinking and extensive research into
surgical needs has led Socomed to invent
Endoflow - a patented series of products
that set a new standard for fluid
management. The Endoflow System
includes the machine and all the
disposables necessary to target
endoscopic interventions within the field
of Gynaecology, Digestive and
Orthopaedic surgery, such as
Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy and
Arthroscopy. Furthermore, it includes
tools for Prosthetic surgery.
Irrigation, aspiration and high-pressure lavage
The requirements for fluid management during the different types of surgical
interventions are not identical. Conventionally, this means that several machines are
used to cover the needs. Costly, inconvenient, and taking up a lot of space in the
operating theatre.
One principle / Different models
Consequently, Socomed has developed Endoflow® with irrigation, aspiration and
high-pressure lavage in the same machine. One machine for such a breadth of
functions is advantageous for all the surgical areas covered by Endoflow®, namely
Gynaecology, Digestive and Orthopaedic surgery. At the same time, Endoflow was
conceived to respond to the specific needs of each of the surgical disciplines
included under these main endoscopic activities. All based on the same Endoflow®
principle, different models have been dedicated to meet the specific demands.

Endoflow System 350 For Orthopaedic Interventions
One system for fluid management
Irrigation, aspiration, high-pressure
lavage - a new breadth of
functions
Wide range of pressure modes,
covering
the needs for Hysteroscopy,
Laparoscopy, Arthroscopy and
Prosthetic surgery.
Cuts medical expenses per
intervention
Disposables at a very competitive
price.
Adding an effective hand-piece for
high-pressure lavage during
Prosthetic surgery simple
More efficient and less
expensive.
I
mproved surgical precision
Steady liquid flow during
irrigation/aspiration gives improved
visibility, especially when
conducting Hysteroscopy and
Arthroscopy.
The indicated pressure on the
machine is identical to the pressure
in the closed cavity.
Safety in use
Heating process that avoids the
risk of contamination
Visible indications of operation
mode.
Freezing of pressure mode during
operation.
Sensors monitor tubing set and
locking of vat door.
Automatic stop if indicated
pressure is exceeded more than
20%.
Automatic regulation - If aspiration
is obstructed.
Easy use
Hooks up to existing hospital
systems.
User-friendly manipulation.
Liquid bags heated in the vats
avoid
long preparation procedures.
Patient body temperature less of an
issue for the anaesthetist
Fluid heated and maintained at 38°C
during the entire intervention.
